The Collection

In the intimate setting of the Cyrus Dallin Art Museum, visitors experience over ninety works of art spanning the Cyrus Dallin’s sixty-year career. Dallin’s art was inspired by classical forms, figures in Euro-American history, Indigenous peoples, and his family and friends. Works on exhibit include rare master plasters, original bronze casts, prototypes of public monuments and memorials, and coins, medals, and paintings. The Museum’s comprehensive exhibits ground Dallin’s unique body of work within the context of his commitment to artistic expression, education, and Indigenous rights.

The Dallin Museum’s extensive archival holdings consist of photos, personal correspondence, exhibition catalogs, news clippings, contracts, and other documents that illuminate Cyrus Dallin’s life, work, and values. These materials serve as an essential resource for scholars, genealogists, Arlington residents, and others interested in the legacy of Cyrus Dallin and the Dallin family. The Museum is currently conducting a major digitization project funded by the Arlington Community Preservation Act to make this important educational resource accessible to all. New materials are being uploaded to our online archives frequently, so please check back often!
