Summer Soiree

An Evening in Paris, August 6, 2017

The Dallin family at the Summer Soiree

The Dallin Museum’s 2017 Summer Soiree was our most successful fundraiser ever! Thanks to everyone involved, we raised $23,000 to support the museum’s continued growth, ensuring extraordinary programs, upgrades to our exhibits and building, and exceptional care for Dallin’s beautiful artworks.

This year’s Soiree theme An Evening in Paris celebrated the city that launched Cyrus Dallin’s career as an internationally acclaimed sculptor. Attendees experienced the tastes, sights, and sounds of turn-of-the-century Paris.

Essex Catering served gourmet French-inspired hors d’oeuvres. The dessert table featured a delicious assortment of mini viennoiserie from Paul Bakery and champagne cupcakes by Jackie Bates.

Guests enjoyed iconic French standards performed by local musicians Ririka Tokushige (reeds), Somer O’Brien (accordion), and Julie Perron (guitar and vocals) and had the opportunity to have their portraits drawn by artists from Boston Caricature.

Last but not least, Arlington Selectman Kevin Greeley’s entertaining emceeing helped make our silent auction a big success!
